What weeks are lessons on?
Murray Conservatorium tries to run to the NSW school term. If you are a Victorian student, your lessons may differ from your school term.

What happens if my teacher is away? Do I still have to pay for my lesson?
No, your lesson will be credited against your invoice at the end of the term.

Do I still have to pay for the lesson if I am away?
Yes, your teacher is booked out for your time slot for the term. It is up to the individual teacher if they will make up the lesson you missed.

My child’s school hasn’t started back yet, why was there a lesson scheduled?
Our term dates are on our website. Lessons begin on the first day of our term regardless of when schools start back.

I’m just starting lessons. How do I know what room to go to?
Your invoice lists the room, day and time of scheduled lessons.

What happens if I withdraw from lessons?
All withdrawals will need to be in writing. Once the term has started, 2 weeks notice is required. You will be charged for those 2 weeks regardless if you can make the lessons or not. These lessons can not be rescheduled.

If my lesson is online is it charged at the same fee?
Yes.

INVOICES

Why did I receive an invoice for this term? I didn’t agree to continue lessons.
Your enrolment continues from term to term until you notify us in writing of your withdrawal.

Do you have a family discount?
Yes, families receive a 5% discount for each subsequent enrollment after the first student.

Do you accept Creative Kids Vouchers?
Yes we do, simply forward them to ​admin@murraycon.com.au​ and we’ll submit them on your behalf. Funds are generally received within 2-3 weeks and then applied to your invoice.

Why have I been charged for a lesson when it’s a public holiday?
If you are charged for a lesson that falls on a public holiday you will be credited for that lesson at the end of the term.

INSTRUMENTS

Do you hire out instruments?
Yes we use a hire company. Generally instruments take 1 week to be delivered where they are checked by your teacher before being issued to you. Hire forms must be signed before instruments are picked up from the office.
